The Final Thing

How it went…

When we had our trial presentation 2 weeks before the commence of the real
presentation we practiced how we will carry out our final. Myself, Kevin and Cagla
were in charge of preparing the presentation area where the talk will be held. Several
weeks before this occurred one of our lectures consisted on learning how to build
prims in Second Life. This class helped us immensely as before it all of us were
unsure how to build anything in SL. The goal of our individual builds was to represent
our chosen UN SDG, therefore I built a representation of a classroom which would
signify education. In our final build we kept the same idea but created a large
presentation area just above our SDG representations, where a large board and
several seats were placed, along with a few decorative items.
After the trial presentation was wrapped up, Pinkliest got word that the lecturers were
big fans of our talk and were impressed with the builds that we have created. After
witnessing some of the other groups present we felt that we were at an advantage in
terms of preparation. We have put in a lot of work into our slides and were quite
confident to present on the day of the trial, whereas other groups seemed slightly
unprepared. After we finished our final presentation last week we were very proud of
how it turned out. After getting great feedback from our lecturers we felt confident
with the overall outcome.
As a team. Myself and the others worked wonderfully. We had great communication
and all tasks were completed before deadlines. Overall we were delighted with the
feedback we have received and with how the presentation turned out.
